Incredible value: enormous house

This beautiful home is huge and turn of the century gorgeous. Driveway parking for 4 cars. Fenced yards front and back. Small deck with grill out back. Main level has high ceilings with beautiful wood beams, built-in benches in the living room & front foyer. The kitchen had fiesta ware dishes and glasses for greater than 14 guests. The kitchen was also generously stocked with plenty of spices, kitchen towels, pot holders, dish soap, d/w detergent, mixing bowls, Pyrex with lids, bake ware, pots and pans, new Ziploc plastic containers with lids, two coffee makers, and plenty of matching silverware. There was a beautiful 10 ft. granite kitchen island with seats around it where we made gingerbread cookies. The oven, microwave, and dishwasher all worked perfectly. Two dining tables seated at least 14. This house allowed everyone to come together for meals or board games and then retreat for quiet time in the very large living room which had plenty of couch space, or the dining room, or the big family room with a wide screen tv on the lower level. There was a newer washer and dryer near the upstairs bathroom, which was convenient. Bedroom closets all had fluffy robes. There were 3 lovely bedrooms upstairs including a Master Suite at the front of the house with its own walk-in closet and private bath. The jacuzzi bathtub wasn't working when we were there. There were two daylight bedrooms on the lower level and a small bedroom off the kitchen on the main level. The heat worked well. Really an enjoyable location: 10 minute walk to downtown shops and wineries, around the corner from a YMCA, on a quiet tree-lined street. Thank you to the owner for all the generous touches in this house. They were much appreciated.

Great spot for Whitman College families!

This house is beautiful - the kitchen is fully stocked, the home is spacious and comfortable, and the decor and updates to the house are both historic and modern. We read that it has 5 bedrooms, but it actually has 7! We had a great time - especially loved the rocking chairs on the front porch! If you have a Whitman college student, this is perfect - just a short walk to campus. We hope to stay here again in the future!

Fabulous Home and Location

Large beautiful home with lots of community space and large bedrooms. While built in 1912, it is well-maintained and a beautiful home with lots of wood detailing. The kitchen is well-stocked. Would love to stay again.

Great stay!

Loved staying in my old house and seeing all of the changes and what's stayed the same. Thank you!
